Amazing tour to Versailles is a trip to one of the biggest and the most impressive palaces in France and Parisian district. Versailles is 20 km from Paris and is probably the tourist Mecca for all Paris visitors. Historic milestones of Paris and France are closely linked to Versailles.

During the tour you will have the opportunity to visit the royal chambers, to have a look at the furniture and palace interior of the times of the great king. The big and small Trianon palace will draw your attention in the garden. There infamous queen Marie Antoinette liked to spend time with her court. One can speak and read a lot about the famous palace, but nothing can be compared to the real beauty, diversity, and mystique of this place. Versailles truly is a historically sacred landmark. When planning your trip to Paris, allow some time for this unforgettable trip.

It all began in times of Henry IV, the founder of the Bourbon dynasty. Henry liked hunting in Versailles forests. Later, his son, Louis XIII, built there a small hunting lodge. A park was being laid out in this marshy, infertile place. The heir to the throne, Louis XIV, son of Louis XII and grandson of Henry IV, transforms the place into a tremendous palace and officially moves there in 1682. Since mid-17th century and till the French Revolution, Versailles was the place where the destinies of Europe and of the world were shaped, where careers were built and destroyed, where fashion was designed. It was the place of the most unbelievable stories and legends.

Here are just some names, which are closely connected to Versailles: Madame de Pompadour, Richelieu, Madame de Maintenon, Molière, Marie Antoinette, Racine, La Fontaine, Napoleon, Mansart, Mozart.
